Where to park? This is often a question that runs through the minds of faculty members and students as they arrive on Lake Avenue every morning.
Last year, the Boys’ Latin basketball team had a crushing defeat in overtime against John Carroll in the A Conference championship. This year, the Lakers are out for revenge and are well on their way to getting it with a 23-3 overall record and an 9-0 conference record.
Over the last two years, a group of upper school students has traveled to Sandy Point State Park on a Thursday in late January to participate in the Polar Bear Plunge. The Polar Bear Plunge is a public event that allows people to “take the plunge”, diving into the near-freezing Chesapeake Bay in order to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Opening in 2017, Mt. Washington’s Woodrow’s Bar-B-Que has already grown to be a notable restaurant that’s less than ten minutes from Boys’ Latin. Its 4.8 star Google rating and the reviews, for the majority, have nothing less than good things to say about this southern-style eatery.
It’s long block on a Friday afternoon. Students are ready for the upcoming football game at 3 p.m.. The student sitting at the front desk is almost fully asleep, while the student in the back of the room is already asleep. The rest of the class is trying to think of a way to wake them both up, and soon the entire class has lost focus.
