Juventus and FC Barcelona in the UEFA Cup Final


The 2nd leg of the semi-final ended with extremely close results.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich played the 2nd leg in Munich’s stadium. Barcelona came into this game with a 3-0 lead.

In crazy fashion, Bayern Munich was able to win this game by one. The final of the 2nd leg between Munich and FC Barcelona was 3-2. Barcelona scoring three goals in the first game put them in the championship because they had a total of five goals.

Real Madrid and Juventus played on May 13th at Santiago Bernabéu which is Real’s stadium. Juventus had the lead in the legs, and that lead was by one goal.

Real Madrid was up one to nothing at half time. Álvaro Morata, former striker for Real Madrid, scored in the 57th minute giving Juventus the lead 2-1 in both of the legs. Sadly enough, Real Madrid was not able to score again in this game, giving Juventus a pass to the championship against FC Barcelona.


Leading up to the semi-final games of the UEFA soccer championship, there were only four teams left: FC Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. All of these games took place on May 5th and 6th. The second legs were played on May 12th and 13th.

For the semi-final games, there are two legs, or games, that are played. The winner is determined by who scores the most goals in both games.

FC Barcelona’s first leg of the semi-finals was against Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich is a club football team from Germany. More than half of Bayern’s players are on the Germany National team.

On May 6th, 2015, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich had a showdown at Camp Nou. Camp Nou is the stadium name for Barcelona’s home field.

Barcelona is known for their amazing forwards. Barcelona’s forwards are Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar da Silva Santos.

The game was rather quiet. No goals were scored until 77 minutes were played. Messi’s first goal was in minute 77. Three minutes later, Messi scored again! Messi pulled Barcelona ahead 2-0 with only 15 minutes left in the game.

Bayern Munich failed to score a goal, and Neymar scored for Barcelona putting them up 3-0 (

The final of the first leg in Camp Nou was Barcelona three, Bayern Munich zero.

On May 5th, 2015, Real Madrid and Juventus played each other at Juventus’s stadium in Turin, Italy.

Real Madrid is also known for their two amazing forwards in Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid, of course being the favorite, went down 1-0 in the 8th minute. Juventus’s Álvaro Morata scored pulling Juventus ahead.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real Madrid in the 27th minute. With this goal, Ronaldo set the record for the most UEFA goals scored with 75 total goals.

At the half, the score was 1-1. Real Madrid had total control until right after half time.

In the 57th minute, Juventus’s star Carlos Tevez drove through Real’s box, got fouled, and had the opportunity for a penalty kick.

Carlos Tevez executed on the penalty, pulling Juventus ahead 2-1.

The final score of this first leg in Juventus’s stadium was Juventus 2, Real Madrid 1.
